For those of you who are curious how to winterize your pool during Southeast Texas winters and storms, here are steps to take.
Make sure equipment runs 24/7 during the freeze, some of you have panels that will automatically run when it’s below 32. Some of you have time clocks. For those of you that have time clocks please make sure the equipment runs 24/7 during the freeze.
For those of you that have auto fills to the pool: (see photos)
Make sure the left valve (blue handle) is turned vertical. After, in the second picture you see 2 red circles those are “bleeder screws” once you turn the handle take a screw driver and bleed the water out. (The freeze may still break the autofill pvb it happens it’s not expensive, however highly recommended wrapping it)
